Floating Brake Caliper

Mounted in a way that allows them to slide back and forth. When you hit the brakes, a piston pushes the inner pad against the disc, and the whole caliper moves to squeeze the outer pad.

They're widely used because they're simple, lightweight, and affordable.

Advanced Quality Test Equipments

Quality isn’t just a goal—it’s part of everything we do. Each brake caliper undergoes a series of rigorous tests to ensure safety, performance, and durability. We carry out pressure testing to check for leaks, salt spray testing for corrosion resistance, and high-temperature testing to evaluate heat tolerance. We also perform piston retraction tests, torque tests, and dynamic braking simulations to ensure proper function under real driving conditions. With advanced equipment and a team that pays attention to the details, we deliver brake calipers that meet high standards—and earn long-term trust from your customers.

Production Process of Brake Caliper

Step1: Design and Engineering

Brake caliper production begins with careful design and engineering. At this stage, engineers focus on performance, fit, material choice, manufacturability, and compliance with safety standards to ensure the caliper will perform reliably under real-world driving conditions.

Step2: Material Preparation

Manufacturers start by selecting raw materials—usually cast iron or aluminum alloy. The material is melted and poured into molds to form the basic caliper shape through casting or forging, depending on the design and strength requirements.

Step3: Heat Treatment

After casting or forging, the brake caliper bodies go through heat treatment to enhance strength and durability. This step ensures brake calipers can withstand high temperatures and mechanical stress during braking.

Step4: CNC Machining

The rough brake caliper shape is then machined using CNC equipment. This process creates precise surfaces for the piston bores, slide pin holes, and mounting points, ensuring proper fit and function.

Step5: Surface Treatment

Brake calipers may undergo surface treatments such as painting, powder coating, or anodizing for corrosion protection, aesthetic appearance, and durability.

Step6: Assembly

After finishing, the brake caliper components – such as pistons, seals, boots, guide pins, and sometimes the parking brake mechanism – are assembled.

Step7: Testing and Quality Control

Every brake caliper goes through several inspections, including pressure testing for leaks, piston movement checks, and dimensional inspections to make sure everything meets quality standards.

Step8: Packaging and Shipping

Once the brake calipers have passed the quality control checks and surface treatment processes, they are typically packaged and prepared for shipping to automotive manufacturers, aftermarket suppliers, or other customers.
